We are renting a house with a garden full of fruit trees (lovely to look at/garden full of drunk wasps picking fights) – there are so many apples and plums I have been anonymously leaving them on neighbours doorsteps. My grandparents used to take us on these as children, as they hadn’t decided where we were actually going but it usually involved a tartan thermos and the cake tin (what more do you need?) Well I don’t know what this is – I wanted it to look like a woodcut or paper cut silhouette but actually it looks like a tattooed rabbit! I still like it though. Our new garden has rabbits that venture out early morning and evening (when the lawn is toddler free). I wanted to show the leaping rabbit containing all the lovely things outdoors… fruit trees, little people, fairy lights in the tree and orange blossom. Maybe I should re do it when I have the right tools – my pens are still half boxed up so I had the raid the mouldy felt-tip pen stash (I can’t face the box avalanche contained in the garage!)
